First time I used a Korg. The Triton Le. Making this LP, and on the first day of ownership, I have made 12 Korg tracks, over 5 making their way onto my prequel to 'Nothing' and 'Any And All Things' records by myself, Mick Muttley, Foci's Left.

There's 'something' to say about this record, but 'something' is 'something' I always find tough. Instead I will muse on 'something'. It's an idiom, unlike fanciful, deployed by corporations and workforces to make people acquire that 'certain something'; 'something they've always wanted'; 'ooh, isn't that something nice'? In most cases, it really isn't - it's as banal as the next anything. 'Anything' exists mostly as wasteland offal, like the terrorist attack news, you hear, well, all over the news. Every single day. Sickening, isn't it? And as an intelligent person, you question, 'is it really 'something' that's happening"? There's so bloody much of it, just like the workload of my music. Banality is a fixed idiom that we use escapism (music) and other comforts to venture out from. The interpolate opposite is absolution into the mundane.

Unfortunately, I have yet to find a long term solution to switching off this crappy news whenever I see fit. It's the breakwaway that brings with it stark ignorance and ignomany. You can predict/postulate/pontificate on 'something' as an idiom then that isn't my general idea of news, but of freedom. Freedom to be human, not unfaithful at the same time, freedom to be warmhearted, never abusive and unkind.

As such, the tracks are filled with a mix of analog and digital warmth.
