Schizophrenics, and in my experience of schizoaffective disorder, the mix between bipolar depression and psychosis, is not a very nice thing to experience. Commonly depression is everyday intense, obsessive behaviour rages like a storm attacking a lone sail. Loneliness is often the raison d'etre of the whole condition, where unlike bipolar type 2, which generally only catalogues itself on the mania spectrum, schizophrenia can coagulate with bipolar type 1, and epic lows driven by stationary impulses. It's not all doom and gloom, so we're told.

It concerns me with the music I make every time if what I make is suitable for Bandcamp, and I often wonder if the curators think I'm absolutely insane. Yes, the music is unusual, but it's not so uncommon in comparison to the tropes of say, Whitehouse noise, or Mogwai postrock air pressure. These tracks are laden with Ableton reverbs and compressed as such, to give a more considered insistence to blending the music together. They're also close to classical music highs and lows. Cycling through a lamenting to optimistic terrain by the finish.

I'm not in this for the money. If just one person affected by schizophrenia hears this and is warmed by the sounds so that they calm down and become happier, then I'm happy. Bandcamp enables musicians to have a connection with audiences all over the world that creates their own societal pockets of infrastructure. I have my own care group, for instance, where I can socialise, but I am still deeply limited by my lack of understanding of my own brain.
